Hi Sunshot Peeps,
It’s almost half of 2009 and yet we really haven’t had any activity aside from the monthly meetings. We feel it’s about time we all sit down and discuss our plans for the remainder of the year. For the June 2009 Sunshot Meeting (scheduled June 10, 2009, Tuesday at 6:00PM), we intend to do just that.
The monthly contest will still push through as usual but instead of inviting a speaker to discuss a photography topic of interest, we will all talk about how we are doing and what’s in store for the next 6 months or so. So it’s gonna be kinda a short but meaningful meeting, so we hope to see all of you there.
by the way, our Sunshot Photography Theme for June 2009 is “Yamang Dagat”

Our theme for June is a tribute to water inhabitants of all shapes and sizes, living or non living, Dead or Alive, Under water, over water, out of water or whatever. Time to dig up your creativities again as we tackle these water inhabiting subjects.
Regards,
Sunshot Core Team
This April, Let’s think of how we can depict Environment Care in our photos.
Let’s Think Green, Act Green, Go Green, Be Green with our
Sunshot photography theme
“Think Green (Eco-Friendly)”

Our 2009 president celebrated his birthday last March 1. Happy Birthday Rhedd from the whole Sunshot Photography Club.

There is indeed ‘Art inFood’ as Sunshot concluded its February meet with their own version of Food Photography. As always, we give special thanks to our lecturer/guest judge in the name of Mark Floro. Here are the top three winners led by 2008 photographer of the year Mary Jane Marcelino taking first and second places with her entries ‘Strawberries and Cream’ and ‘Basket of Fruits’. Taking second place is Alvin Santos with his entry ‘Red Orange’. Congrats to both of you.
See the rest of the top 10 and other entries from the Sunshot Gallery.
To maximize the talents of our guest speaker Mark Floro, we are changing our theme next month to Food Photography, more specifically ‘Art in Food’. Please refer to the announcement email sent to all members. Here is a sample of what the theme is meant.

Sunshot would like to thank the January judges: Nina Mendiola, Lito Escoto and IT Consultant Caspar Ruigrok.
